Our teams were flown into surrounding villages of Tirana, capital of Albania. Each passenger, generator, film projector, screen, and backpacks were weighed to correctly balance the helicopter flight. Backpacks contained 3 small quart sized bags of rice to give to a family who might show us hospitality for a night. The pilot would land in a farmer's field, drop us off with Jesus film supplies and then the helicopter returned to home base in Elbasan. [Mother Teresa's hometown.] We were on our own for the next 3 days: no food, no change of clothes, no clean water. Our assignment was travel to 3 different villages and show the Jesus film. In mountainous Albania, each village was a distance of 7 hours hike.

In England a mere 5% engage with a local church. We partnered with West Road Church (Bury St .Edmunds) and worked to build relationships through 'coffee & conversation' mornings, a Faith & Work event, family outreach and an open-air church service with 650+ participants. We provided physical improvements to the church building through painting, community room re-design and conducted discussions with church leadership regarding communications strategy, multi-site church models and other local church challenges.
